Bye Bush (a poem)

Truer words...

Written in the wake of this week’s visit by the evil bastard

You started out with buying off Republican selection,
you had your cousin rig the votes in Florida’s election,
your daddy talked to his old pals, Donald, Ken and Dick,
and they agreed to help you give democracy a kick.

Up Yours George!

Dubya. Photo:Wikimedia Commons

Welcome news about the US mid-term elections which saw a massive protest vote turn the tide significantly against Dubya and his cronies.

Although Dubya can still use his presidential veto to override the will of Congress, it will at least mean that the White House won’t be able to get a republican controlled congress to rubber-stamp everything that comes down the line.

The news the Democrats manage to regain control of both houses of congress was made sweeter by the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld, who may even face charges in Germany for alleged abuses in Guantanamo Bay and Iraq. Here’s hoping…

Isn’t it nice to have something in politics to smile about at times?

Bush Assassination? Not today…

Dubya.

Today’s supposed row over the TV drama “Death of a President” was a small but meaningful 40th birthday gift for me.

The drama on More4, uses actors and computer effects to portray “president” Bush being shot dead during an anti-war rally in Chicago in 2007.

I won’t go so far as to say I wish it had been an actual news story instead of a piece of fictionalised TV, but for the first time, I actually found myself regretting the fact that I was not a TV subscriber!

Rant: Selfish greedy bastards!

Dubya. Photo: Wikimedia Commons

‘Dubya’ Bush and his 10-gallon hat brigade continue to avoid entering into serious discussions with any of the other G8 nations to agree to take action on climate change – despite the US being the single biggest source of carbon emissions in the world!

Instead, the perpetually smirking bastard believes that the issues of climate change and global warnings are best dealt with, by using what he calls “New Technologies”.

Chavez tweaks Bush’s Nose

Oil Barrels

As Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez continues to harrangue DEA agents, (who he accuses of spying on his government) it now looks like the flamboyant and outspoken “El Presidente” is prepared to hit the US where it REALLY hurts…in the oil barrel!

In a BBC News Article published today, Chavez has suggested that Venezuelan oil “instead of going to the United States, could go elsewhere”.

As Venezuela exports about 1.3 million barrels a day to the US and is the world’s fifth largest oil producer, one wonders how long it will be before the Bush administration claims that Venezuela posesses WMD’s (does cocaine count?) and invades?

Oi vay!
