When I was managing a little paper, I had to put a young staff writer on probation because he couldn't meet his deadlines. He told me he was struggling because I didn't reassure him enough and that he felt inadequate. I wanted to say "Bitch, I am not your momma. I am your boss." Gen Y kids have been way too coddled.
